John T Conroy, RA

Principal & Founder

As principal and founding partner, John Conroy spent over a year instrumentally organizing a team of design professionals to offer an all-inclusive design group for any project in the built environment before opening its doors. He has formed a team of experts in the fields of architecture, interiors, landscape architecture, graphics and web design. He enjoys talking about PDC not as a group of professionals or colleagues, but as a ‘Professional Family.’ John states, ‘We are a group of designers, all with global experience, collaborating to offer unsurpassed design and customer service to all our clients.’

 

Prior to forming PDC, John worked in an excess of 20 years at Hillier Architecture and grew with the company as the firm became one of the leading national Architectural firms in the nation. His experience there allowed him to work within may aspects of the profession from architecture, to interior design and landscape architecture which gives him the diversity that now leads the way for PDC's multi diversified design fields it offers its clients under one roof. John's talent offers design plus technical execution to give PDC's clientele, true value for all their construction projects.

 

A life-long resident of Central New Jersey, John has been active in architecture for over 25 years. He received his bachelors' degree in architecture at Syracuse University and finished his master's at the top of his design class in architecture and urban design while studying at Syracuse's Florence Italy M Arch II program. John's talent grew rapidly with the rise of Hillier Architecture as the largest architectural firm in New Jersey. During his tenure with the firm, he worked on numerous prestigious projects for Rutgers University, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Glaxo SmithKline, Merck, Hyatt, and Liberty Science Center to name a few. The projects for these clients range from higher ed, corporate headquarters, museums and five-star hospitality destinations. His art for delivering unsurpassed client service gave him the opportunity to lead projects on a global level after the firm was sold to RMJM. At the peak of RMJM's success John's clients spanned the globe in India, Singapore, Vietnam and Russia as well back here in the states. Mr. Conroy's thirst for knowledge in the world of design, lead him to assist in the development and leadership of the state's largest AIA continuing education program while at Hillier Architecture which still resonates today at PDC. During his long career at Hillier Architecture, John also played a significant role in recruiting talented students from leading universities and helped build Hillier Architecture as one of the leading design firms in the nation.

 

In 2012 John founded Princeton design Collaborative (PDC), with carefully chosen former colleagues, to create a full-service design firm. John's talents give him the ability to successfully execute several different project types, including architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture and urban design.

 

On the community front, he sits on the Lawrence Township Growth and Redevelopment Committee for over a dozen years to promote growth of local business and has chaired the committee several times. John's collaborative nature with staff and clients, along with his passion for design gives him the ability to lead any project to a successful result.

 

John's interests include: European travel, woodworking, wine tasting, and home improvement.

 

 


Lara Fiordimondo

Senior Project Designer

As Senior Interior Designer for Princeton Design Collaborative (PDC), Lara Fiordimondo specializes in bringing the project's identity and the client's vision to the forefront while engaging them throughout the design process. Her goal is to create sophisticated and inspirational environments that reflect the clients' lifestyle, all delivered within their budgets and schedules while respecting the environment. Her unique talent adds a much need layer of warmth and sophistication to all PDC's architectural projects. Lara's talent compliments the project's architecture without the addition of another firm to manage and pay for interior design which in turn gives the client fully integrated design approach

 

Lara's experience at Ballinger in Philadelphia and Hillier Architecture in Princeton New Jersey gave her structure and know how to work on large, complicated projects while going beyond the expectations of her clients. Prior to joining Hillier Lara worked in the design build industry spending great deal of time working with contractors in the field to bring designs to flawless execution and has acquired the understanding of what is needed on the design side to make that all happen effortlessly.

 

Lara's pivotal role at PDC establishes current and long term forecasted designed interiors utilizing architectural materials, lighting, textiles, color, and furniture for both the firm and our clients. Her focus on collaborating with clients, while bringing excitement and appreciation for all styles of architecture to her approach in design is an asset to our team. Her passion for design does not stop with the projects she works on, but also extends in the classroom where she has been an adjunct professor at Arcadia University since 2012 teaching studio, graphics, model building, textiles, color theory, and senior thesis. To further be involved, Lara to date has mentored hundreds of students and graduates further into the industry as she maintains relationships with the younger generations. Her community efforts include an active role in IIDA, CRE, and volunteers her design services to many nonprofits and sits on several township boards with her industry experience.

 

Lara holds degrees in both Interior Design and Interior Architecture along with certificates and classes at other universities. Her degrees were obtained in Philadelphia at Antonelli School of Art, Philadelphia University, and Thomas Jefferson University, with honors. Lara studied Architecture abroad in Florence and Rome Italy while obtaining studio classes and being part of a European History Architecture class.

 

 


Brian C. Meneghin, LLA

Director of Landscape Architecture/Landscape Architect

As Director of Landscape Architecture, Brian brings a depth of experience that is varied in complexity and scope and includes work for corporations, health care facilities and educational institutions across the nation and abroad, as well as local private residential projects. Brian is a licensed Landscape Architect in the State of New Jersey with over 30 years' experience working for large architectural firms, including Hillier Architecture, as well as small firms dedicated to the craft of Landscape Architecture. He is highly skilled at taking projects from conceptual design through construction documentation and implementation.

 

Brian holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University. He spent his junior year working in Preveza, Greece for the General Secretariat of Forests and Natural Environment (GSF&NE) designing and collaborating with officials and locals on a Master Plan for the for the Nikopolis-Mytika Aesthetic Forest. He attended and presented findings at a national Forestry Conference in Greece.

 

With technical and design expertise and a passion for the built environment, Brian provides PDC the pivotal liaison between architect design and engineer, balancing the two disciplines to create a successful end project.

 

Brian's Interests include: Residential renovation, travelling , plant ecology and native plant restoration.

 

 


Howard Davis

Associate Architect

As associate architect and BIM (Building Information Modeling) Specialist, Howard recognizes that BIM documentation is becoming the industry standard. BIM enables clients, design team, and contractors who plan, design, construct, operate and maintain diverse physical infrastructures and beyond to the building's life-cycle.

 

Howards notable projects included the University Medical Center at Princeton, Princeton High School, The New Jersey State Aquarium (Now adventure Aquarium), Newark Public Library. Howard's professional career includes some local work such as: parking garage for a Trenton Thunder stadium and waterfront redevelopment area; office buildings at Monmouth Shore Corporate Park and 33 West State Street office building also located in Trenton where Howard is a life-long resident of the City of Trenton.

 

Howard has held leadership positions in Information Technology, Corporate Studio CAD, Office Design, and Office Manager. He was instrumental in developing successful firm wide initiatives, standards, and support staff training at past positions he has held during his tenure at Hillier Architecture.

 

Howard received a Bachelor of Architecture from Howard University's School of Architecture and Planning. He was also the Gold Medal Design recipient of his graduating class.

 

Away from Architecture, Howard had served 10 years as President of The ERBL, a community base boys and girls youth basketball program. Additionally, Howard currently holds a position of Special Assistant to the high school basketball Coach at Ewing High School in Ewing, New Jersey.

 

Howard's interests include: home renovations, antique collecting and spending time at his family retreat in Cape May, NJ.
